London Climate Action Week (LCAW) harnesses the power of London for global and local climate action.

Now in its eighth edition, LCAW is bringing together more than 75,000 people across more than 750 events over nine days this June — from community gatherings in every borough to major international conferences. Together, these weeks are a platform for the UN Global Climate Action Agenda.

Recommended events

Join ODI Global during London Climate Action Week (20–28 June) for a series of events spotlighting the structural barriers preventing climate-vulnerable countries from building resilience and accelerating a just transition.

Bringing together policy-makers, researchers and practitioners, they’ll examine how finance, trade and international cooperation can be reformed to support more effective and equitable climate action.

To browse ODI Global events programme (including special film screenings), and register to join them either in London or online, see here.

Time to make polluters pay: Ending big oil profiteering

As public anger grows over rising bills, fossil fuel profiteering and worsening climate disasters, campaigners and voices from the climate frontline will explore how public narratives are shifting, what stories resonate most strongly, and how legal and political breakthroughs can help build broader public support for accountability.

Momentum is building. Windfall taxes and the closing of major tax loopholes are now costing Big Oil billions, and climate litigation is taking us closer to accountability for climate damage.

Join the Make Polluters Pay agenda, with speakers including:

  • Laurel Kivuyo (Climate Hub Tanzania)
  • Steve Wright (Fire Brigades Union)
  • Savio Carvalho (350.org)
  • Chaired by journalist Megan Rowling (Climate Home News)
  • Opening remarks from Jamie Henn (Fossil Free Media, US Make Polluters Pay Coalition)
